Michael I. Bell currently serves as Executive Administrative Assistant and Educational Leadership Consultant. A Multi-faceted department administrator that possesses a fundamental mission for marketing and departmental success, Mr. Bell’s resume and skillset are equally extensive and highly commendable.
In 2015, Mr. Bell was hired as an educational leadership development specialist through the work studies program with the state of North Carolina. While serving the position Bell was credited for creating the student support group and initiative of “Excellence for all.” The initiative was created to help increase graduation rate and cumulative student test scores in all key academic areas. The initiative proved to be successful earning Mr. Bell the role of lead student support specialist.
In the fall of 2016, Mr. Bell was then promoted to Assistant Divisional Leader in the Student Enrichment Department, overseeing the state funded Academic and STEM Learning HUB’s. Mr. Bell earned the award for outstanding department leadership and overall commendation for excellence three consecutive years in a row. Mr. Bell’s Leadership role earned him the honor of being appointed to serve on the board of academic enrichment programs for student success at Guilford Technical Community College. A role that he proudly served for three years.
In June of 2019, Bell was then hired to join the team of KDM & Associates. Upon joining the KDM Staff, Bell immediately went to work as a (n) consultant with various third-party contractor projects with federal government firms including The United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), The United States Department of Energy and The United States Department of Agriculture, prior to being promoted to Administrative Executive Assistant for The United States Department Of Commerce’s Minority Business Development Agency’s Federal Procurement Center in August of 2021.
Mr. Bell’s skill set includes, but not limited to budgeting, team management and problem resolution. Bell has earned several recognitions through the State of North Carolina’s Dept. of Education. In the fall of 2017 Mr. Bell was given a special commendation for excellence from Governor Roy Cooper’s office for innovation in educational leadership and student support. Mr. Bell has also earned various recognitions for assisting and co-creating various programs with Guilford County School systems middle college career ready programs and initiatives.
