Our Story
On April 30, 2025, KDM & Associates, LLC took a bold step - privatizing the mission of the Department of Commerce's Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) to deliver expanded, value-added support directly to the large Prime Government Contractor community.
With a broader and more focused mandate, KDM directed its primary attention to the U.S. manufacturing, critical minerals, defense, and Opportunity Zone sectors — building on its foundation as the nation's most recently awarded Federal Procurement Center (FPC) since July 2021. This evolution reflects a deepened commitment to capacity building for the nation's most eligible and shovel-worthy small businesses.
This privatization marks a strategic realignment — bringing new leadership, fresh initiatives, and stronger partnerships to more effectively meet the escalating demand for supply chain-ready small businesses that can address the nation's most critical procurement needs. Historical data confirms that small businesses have consistently faced significant barriers to entry in the federal acquisition sector. KDM exists to change that.
